20th Annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival

South Bay Sailing Fourth of July Dockside BBQ

For years the folks of South Bay Sailing have been celebrating our nation's independence with a festive BBQ/potluck and special sailing lessons. Their location right on The Pier is convenient for pre-and post sailing drinks, and the party is a great way to meet all kinds of friendly fellow sailors before you embark on a breathtaking tour of the seas. If you can't make it on the Fourth, don't fret; these guys throw a party on the first Sunday of every month from noon to sunset.

Free Yoga on The Redondo Beach Pier
Third Saturdays 10am - 12pm
Bring a mat and enjoy one of the most relaxing atmospheres available to get your Om on. At the Octagon below Kincaid's, local instructors will lead a free and open yoga session once a month. New Bike Path Grand Opening
June 13 10am - 2pm
On June 13, Redondo Beach will officially open its Harbor Gateway and Bikepath Improvement Project with a ribbon cutting ceremony and kids expo. Feel the Summer breeze along the city's brand new $4.6 million project, which features a converted plaza parkette at the corner of Herondo and Harbor Drive. The redesign now connects Redondo's existing beach side path all the way past Santa Monica for the more ambitious cyclists. Enjoy the lush landscaping and public art installations along the resurfaced path while getting some exercise and staying green.
The Riviera Village Summer Festival
June 27-28 10am - 7pm
This year's annual Riviera Village Summer Festival will feature over 300 individual booths from independent artists, crafts dealers, and international food vendors. Enjoy a wide selection of refreshments while rocking out to live bands, hop on some of the carnival rides, or relax in the beer garden while soaking up the culture of the community. This year's event even features a free bike valet service so you can arrive and depart on two wheels if you prefer.

International Surf Festival
July 30 - August 2
You definitely don't want to miss this year's jam-packed International Surf Festival hosted by our neighboring City of Hermosa Beach. This year's festival showcases all types of athletic challenges, including beach runs, volleyball tournaments, lifeguard competitions, and of course the surfing championships, all starting early Saturday and Sunday. To close out the weekend, the International Surf Festival will once again host its widely popular Sandcastle Design Contest.
